Homemade Sausage Gravy is really easy to make. Great for a weekend breakfast or a weeknight supper.

Homemade Sausage Gravy

  • 1 pound of sausage
  • 4 Tablespoons of butter
  • 4 Tablespoons of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of chicken base
  • 2 cups of milk


  • Brown the sausage, don't drain the fat!
  • Add in the butter and flour till melted and coating the sausage crumbles.
  • Add in milk and chicken base, stir and cook until bubbly and thick enough to coat the back of the spoon!
  • Serve over warm biscuits or stand over the stove and eat by the spoonful!!
