Melt butter in a large skillet over low heat.
Put apples in skillet and sprinkle with lemon juice, brown sugar and spices.
Cover and simmer over low heat until apples are tender.
Remove apples from skillet leaving juices.
Combine apple cider and cornstarch until bended with no lumps.
Whisk this mixture into juices in skillet stirring constantly over medium heat until thickened.
Put apples back in skillet, carefully mix with thickened juices and serve.
