Pumpkin Beer Bread

Pumpkin Beer Bread - made with a pumpkin beer but not any pumpkin!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups flour
  • 4 1/2 tsp baking power
  • 1/2 tsp salt1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tbl molasses
  • 1 12 oz. bottle of pumpkin beer
  • 1/2 c chopped pecans toasted
  • 1/4 c butter melted
  • Optional: up to 1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice

Instructions
 

  • Toast your nuts!! Rough chop your pecans, or even walnuts, spread on cookie sheet and pop in a 300 degree oven for 10 minutes! MAKE EXTRA, you will want them later, I promise!
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x5 loaf pan.
  • In a bowl stir together flour, baking powder, salt, brown sugar, molasses and beer- mix throughly.
  • Pour batter into greased loaf pan, pour melted butter on top and top with toasted nuts.
  • Bake for 45-55 minutes until toothpick comes out of center clean.
