Super Meaty Spaghetti Sauce

  • 2 pounds of ground hamburger
  • 2 pounds of ground Italian sausage
  • 8 ounces of finely diced mushrooms
  • 3 jars of your favorite spaghetti sauce


  • Brown the hangurger and sausage in a large dutch oven or pan
  • Once meat is browned add the finely diced mushrooms and continue browning the meat and mushrooms for 5 minutes.
  • Add the 3 jars of spaghetti sauce, once you empty the jar put a 1/4 cup water in jar put lid back on and shake to clean jar out then pour that into the pan as well- do this for all three spaghetti sauce jars-the sauce will simmer and cook out the excess water.
  • Stir throughly and allow to simmer on extra low heat stirring occasionally for a couple of hours (the longer the more mingled the flavors get) or put in the crockpot on low for several hours.
