Homemade Ham and Cheese Sandwich

Bread Dough
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 Tablespoon Yeast
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups of flour
Spread
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 1/2 Tablespoons Poppy Seeds
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup minced onion
- 1/2 - 1 pound of ham slices
- Favorite cheese slices
Dissolve yeast in warm water; add sugar butter salt and flour
Combine until dough is formed and let raise 20 minutes
Roll dough into a 10x14 rectangle and spread the poppy seed mixture down the middle long ways
Place ham and cheese sliced down the middle over the spread
Cut sides of rectangle into 1 inch stripes on both sides and alternate sides covering ham and cheese with strips
Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with poppy seeds
Allow to raise for 10-15 minutes
Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for approximately 30 minutes
