In a large bowl, beat together butter and brown sugar with an electric mixer until well blended
Beat in pumpkin and eggs until well mixed
In a seperate bowl, combine flour, boaking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt
Slowly add flour mixture to butter mixture; beat for 2 minutes
Spoon pie filling into a lightly greased slow cooker - depending on how much you like apples you can use 2 cans or just 1 - I only used 1 in the above pictures - it keeps the cake moist on the bottom but 2 cans would add more apple flavor as the pumpkin dominates this cake.
Spoon cake batter carefully over apple pie filling then spread carefully to cover and to the edges of the crock pot.
Cover and cook on high for 1½-2 hours, keeping in mind how your crock pot cooks.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar, serve with whipped cream or serve with ice cream - dealers choice!
