Cheesy Burger, Cheesie Burger, Loose Meat Cheese Burger, call it whatever you want. It’s a family favorite, a super easy throw together meal that’s a crowd pleaser and has been a staple since my childhood!
This meal couldn’t be more simple and honestly while you could dress it up and serve this sandwich with french fries or fried potatoes, but the reason I love it so much is the entire meals simplicity!
Literally fry up some hamburger, melt in Velveeta, put it on a bun! Serve with potato chips, cottage cheese and a cold glass of milk!
You could go with applesauce instead of cottage cheese but around here we love applesauce with pork – a pork chop sandwich, applesauce and Lay’s chips – another super simple meal that pleases all!
Ruffle’s with cheesy burger and Lay’s with pork chop sandwiches……..this is how my brain works – its a scary place!
While I love to cook and bake, at the end of the day I’m most likely looking for the quickest meal to feed hungry people because I’m just as tired as they are – this meal makes everyone happy!
We all lead busy lives and for me at the end of the a long day, especially in the spring and fall the simplest meals at 9pm are always gonna be a win in my book! And honestly a really good simple meal fills tummies and sends everyone off to bed full and content!
Ever lay a pound of hamburger out in the morning to thaw with no idea what you’re going to make……….THIS IS YOUR LAST MINUTE ANSWER!
I don’t think I can stress enough how easy this meal really is!
- 1 pound of hamburger
- 1 - 1 1/2 cups cubed Velveeta
- Fry hamburger to done, drain grease.
- Stir in cubed Velveeta till completely melted.
