Can we all just agree that baked beans aren’t very photogenic! While a little camera shy they definitely aren’t afraid of bold flavors!

To which someone replied……roll that “beautiful bean footage”.  I giggled entirely too hard, then spent an inordinate amount of time making this video!

And then I watched it on repeat and laughed!

Oven Baked Pork and Beans

A great side dish for any meal or contribution to a pitch-in barbeque. This recipe is easily doubled or tripled, but small enough for a family meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 28 ounce can pork and beans
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 Tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 2-3 glugs Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 small onion
  • 5-6 slices bacon

Instructions
 

  • Mix all of the ingredients in an oven-safe dish, cover with foil or lid.
  • Bake in 350° pre-heated oven for 1-1½ hours, till beans have thickened, onions are soft and bacon cooked. About 20 minutes before they are done take the lid or foil off to brown the top!
